About Fair

The WIND and WATER Warsaw Boat Show is the largest exhibition event of the water sports and recreation industry in Poland and an important event in the European market.

It was held for the first time in 1990 in Zegrze. A year later, it was moved to Warsaw. Since 2002 till 2013 it has been held at EXPO XXI Center, in 2014 at the National Stadium, since 2015 at MT POLSKA Center.

We are pleased to inform you that WIND and WATER has returned to EXPO XXI after a 5-year break. The 31th WIND and WATER Warsaw International Boat Show will take place between February 28–March 3, 2019 in EXPO XXI in Warsaw.

This jubilee edition was exceptional. It gathered record number of exhibitors – the leading Polish producers, importers and distributors, as well as the greatest water sports champions, winners of Olympic medals and regattas, travelers and explorers.

Since 2004, the Fair has been owned by Yacht EXPO – a company established by leading Polish shipyards, producers, importers and distributors of equipment for sailing and motorboats, as well as Murator EXPO – a trade fair organizer. Since 2004 WIND and WATER has been a member of the International Federation of Boat Show Organisers (IFBSO), thus obtaining a quality certificate that only the leading international events of this type can boast of. Since 2005, Murator EXPO has been the executive organizer of the Fair. In 2006, the first summer edition of WIND and WATER on water was held in Sopot. The next editions have been held in Gdynia – the Sailing Capital of Poland. In 2016 the Silesian edition of WIND and WATER Boat Show was organizaed in Katowice.

For several years now, each WIND and WATER Fair in Warsaw has been attended by more than 400 exhibitors from Poland and abroad, as well as by around 30 000 visitors. This makes our Fair the largest event of this kind in Poland and one of the largest in Europe.

The prestige of the Fair is further confirmed by the fact that it is where the award ceremonies of the most important water sports awards are held, including the Polish Yacht of the Year Award, the Jerzy Fijka Highlights of the WIND and WATER Fair (‘Gwoździe Targów’), the Awards of the Polish Chamber of Marine Industry and Water Sports, as well as awards and distinctions of the Polish Yachting Association, the Polish Motorboat and Water Ski Association, the Volunteer Water Rescue Service and the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society.

Furthermore, the Fair enjoys the patronage of the highest ministerial authorities, respected organizations and associations dedicated to tourism and water sports, with substantial support of leading national, regional and professional media.

In the 30 years of its existence, the WIND and WATER Boat Show has hosted meetings with world-famous stars of water sports, the Olympics, regattas, as well as celebrity travelers and explorers. There are few fair events in Poland that proudly present the offer of Polish companies – skilful producers of technologically advanced goods, highly popular not only in Europe, but even in the entire world.

Our aim is to make the WIND and WATER Boat Shows in Warsaw, Gdynia and Katowice the most important meeting points and forums for the exchange of opinions for representatives of the industry. Furthermore, we want the Fair to provide practical knowledge about the sports and recreation equipment available on the market to water sports enthusiasts and to contribute to the spreading of interest in various forms of tourism.
